I often frequent Ace hardware in lieu of home depot or lowes for projects whenever possible because I value the service received and the friendly and knowledgeable employees. Typically I shop the Champlain location however last week I was running errands for my in laws and came to this location. I made two trips to the store that day upon my second visit with my mother in law, we quickly realized we'd forgotten our purses at home. As I leave my items with her and attempt to leave the store to go get our purses I am stopped at the door by an employee, she stood in front of the door preventing me from exiting asking me if I had the universal charging pack. I explained to her that I'd left the item with my mother in law and that I'd be back I just needed to run home. She did not move. I asked her if she was going to check my pockets and only then did she step aside and let me exit the store. I have never in my life received such treatment and public humiliation. There was no just cause to be accused of stealing and confronted in such away and I'm livid. I don't hardly ever think about race but that day I was forced to as I truly believe this was due to my race. I was dressed in respectable clean clothing, and I had already made a purchase earlier that day from the store. When I returned from getting our purses my mother in law was waiting in the front of the store for me with our items. The employee had made a comment to her coworker about me as I walked in abs my mother in law informed the employee that I was with her abs collaborated my story. She informed the employee that she had no right to confronted me on such a way unless she witnessed me stealing or attempting to steal. As we paid for our items and left the store i found it unbelievable that we had no received any kind of apology or acknowledgement of wrong doing. I find this absolutely unacceptable, especially because I will need to go to this location more often. I will take my business elsewhere but more importantly I'll inform the local community about this location and insist they do not take the risk of exposing themselves to such treatment and embarrassment. Shame on you. It's okay to make mistakes, but it's never okay for an individual or an establishment not to take accountability and improve upon said mistakes. This behavior shows me this location is comfortable with upholding this kind of vile, unacceptable practice towards its minority patrons.

I went to store recently and was approached by a sales person named Shelia .I had a list of things for my project. Shelia was very knowledgeable. She not only helped me find what I needed,but she also made suggestions and explained a better way of doing what I wanted. It came out better than I thought. I will do all my shopping with your store in the future. You need more employees like Shelia

We prefer this hardware store because of the level of expertise of the sales associates. If you need to customize a home improvement project, they are really helpful. If they can't help, they can refer you to someone who can. They offer a wide variety of products and they really have something for everyone.

I went there to get some plumbing supplies, not knowing the exact product I needed. Dan was there to answer my questions and got me the supplies I needed. As all of the employees at Fresno Ag are knowledgeable and very kind I will continue to shop the as the staff and product availability is unrivaled. Not like the big box stores. Buy local! Shout out to Dan the Man.

This store has lots of good stuff, but they like to scam. The clothes they put signs all over 35% off but then when we went to the cashier, they say it wasn't on sale. So always check first before trying to purchase it.

Fresno Ag never disappoints. Amazing selection with wonderful employees who are so helpful. Oh yes, there is an added bonus, mature shade trees in the parking lot!

Hands down the best place to shop for hardware and just about anything else. Cleaning products, paint, custom cut glass, electrical, lighting, plumbing, AC, gardening and even work clothes and boots. They have maybe 6 specialty counters where you can find help in any department. Maybe a little higher priced than the big box stores, but you will have no trouble at all finding enthusiastic and friendly help. You'll save time. Time you'd have to spend wandering and searching in a big box store. This is the place to go.
