What a lovely place. We had a great time in Morano. In the amazing Pollino National Park. The Town Is very charming and in a unique location.
The hotel is wonderful, incredibly well kept, and very comfortable. The staff has been friendly and helpful with lots of tips on things to do and recommendations. Excellent breakfast in a nice and cosy room with lots of art pieces, home made cakes and a brilliant selection of food.
Hopefully we will be back and visit more of this area!

This is a beautiful small hotel in a beautiful medieval town which I would recommend without hesitation. We stayed for a week. The room was as clean and comfortable as can be, airy, with views across the town and across the rooftops (see photo). The breakfast is a simple Italian-style offering but has several options all of which were excellent. Special mention to Biaggio's cappuccino and the home made cakes: top quality! The building has clearly been restored with care and love, and the hotel is run with the same care and love. The owners are super kind and friendly and able to offer assistance with local walks, restaurants (take their recommendations, they were great!), and information about the area. There is easy and free parking nearby. It was calm, quiet and relaxing to stay here. We would love to return!

We travel a lot, but I don’t think we have ever felt so welcome and comfortable as in Albergo Merùo! This family-run boutique hotel has been created with so much care and attention to detail, and the owners are attentive and treat their guests as if we were close friends. The rooms are spotless and the Italian breakfast delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Our stay has been everything and even more!
This is a family owned B&B with a lot of history. The owners made sure we were comfortable at all times. Travelling with a baby is not easy but they made sure we had enough space and everything we needed.(kids friendly) The room was spotles , the wall art in our room was made by a local artist and the interior decor decorated by the son. There are so many adorable details; from the reception to the breakfast room , to the patio with a beautiful view of the town to the handmade cushions. The breakfast was fresh, the baked goods were homemade.
It’s perfectly located, park your car and take a stroll around the city. We highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed!

If I had to write a book about boutique hotels in Calabria, you can be sure that this one would make it into my top picks. Lets start with the location. Molano Calabro is almost a cliché of a beautiful Italian village. And from the roof terrace of Albergo Meruo you can see this beauty in full splendour. The hotel itself has a fantastic design with so many well thought-through details. You can feel the love they have put into deocration. It is one of those places that makes you just happy that you can stay there. The people who work there are super friendly and proud of their little gems, the village and the hotel. The location is superb, the breakfast rich and yummie. And honestly, for everything they offer I felt the price was super fair. The only thing I regret is that I didn‘t stay longer to also explore the surroundings and go for some hiking.

Located at the top of the charming hillside borgo of Morano Calabro this family run albergo is the perfect place to stay. You get a perfect view from here and the hotel is clean and comfortable. The friendliness and hospitality of your hosts are amazing. Their recommendations of places to go and things to see are spot on. And if you’re lucky you might get to taste a digestivo made on local herbs from the nearby Pollino national park. Highly recommended.
